Fetch a video's available formats and download one directly, up to 4K — backed by your own yt-dlp service.
This tool needs its backend running — a small Express service that wraps
yt-dlp. Point it at wherever you've deployed server/ (defaults to http://localhost:8787 if you're running it locally). See server/README.md for setup.Supports youtube.com/watch, youtu.be, and Shorts links.
Only download content you have the rights to — your own uploads, permissively licensed videos, or anything else covered by fair use in your situation. This calls your own backend; nothing here talks to YouTube directly from the browser.
